Founded in 1980, the Wollongong Wolves Football Club is an Australian football club based in Wollongong which is situated on the South Coast of New South Wales. The club currently competes in the top competition in New South Wales, being the National Premier Leagues NSW.

The Wollongong Wolves Football Club brand is well respected in Australia and overseas. The club has developed a rich history and has been proudly representing the Illawarra and South Coast regions for over 40 years in various competitions.

The club has a strong focus on junior development and currently possesses one of the strongest junior nurseries in the country. Many of the region’s players have progressed to higher honours by playing in the A-League, representing Australia and playing for overseas clubs. Our area is the only region to have ever had 3 junior players represent Australia in a World Cup Tournament match.

The club has enjoyed success at both domestic and international level with grand final wins in the National Soccer League and NSW Sate League as well as being crowned Oceania Club Champions in 2001, which, at the time, made the Wollongong Wolves Football Club the most successful regional sporting team in Australia.
