wolves formally submit a-league bid
We are pleased to be able to inform all of the football fans of our region that our A-League expansion bid was submitted last Friday afternoon.
Whilst the process has not finished, we consider it important to provide an update and acknowledge those who have contributed thus far.
The past six months has seen the club involved in a rigorous process. We are confident that the work performed on the bid will see us heavily involved in ongoing discussions during the decision making process.
Regardless of the ultimate outcome, the work required has provided further valuable insight into the strengths of our club and football in our region. Likewise, it has provided clarity with regards to the areas in which we can improve.
Importantly, we have developed many significant relationships which will no doubt strengthen as we move forward.
Whilst we maintain that our standalone bid is the best option for our region, we respect the fact that the board of Football South Coast (FSC) have taken a consistent position regarding their desire to bring HAL football to the region.
This process has brought our two organisations closer together and we thank the FSC board for their support, advice and encouragement.
Finally, we would like to thank all of our A-League Expansion Committee members for their time, effort and expertise. All of these talented people volunteered their time and skills in an attempt to bring A-League football to our region and to improve the sport for everyone.
Their efforts are most appreciated and we look forward to having them all involved in our club on an ongoing basis.
