Wollongong Wolves Football Club was formed in 1980 and we have been proudly representing the Illawarra and South Coast regions of NSW for 40 years. We are a very successful, strong, passionate club with the strongest junior nursery and development area across Australia. Many of our players have grown from here to represent in the A League, play for Australia and become professionals overseas. Our area is the only region to have ever had 3 juniors represent Australia in a World Cup Tournament game.
We are the current NSW NPL Premiers and National NPL Champions !

Luke Wilkshire has named 2019 Wollongong Wolves Player of the Year - James Stojcevski - as the club captain for season 2020. James replaces club stalwart Justin Pasfield, who will continue to play a significant leadership role.

Illawarra codes combine for bushfire appeal golf day

The St George Illawarra Dragons, Wollongong Wolves and Illawarra Hawks have joined forces to announce a first of its kind Illawarra combined codes bushfire appeal golf day.
Players and coaches from the Dragons, Hawks and Wolves will convene on Monday, February 3 at Wollongong Golf Club to help raise funds for the NSW Rural Fire Service, Salvation Army Disaster Relief Appeal and Australian Wildlife Rescue (WIRES) following the recent bushfires that have devastated Australian communities.

SYDNEY FC AGREE MOU WITH WOLLONGONG WOLVES
Sydney FC and Wollongong Wolves have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote football in the Illawarra and South Coast region of New South Wales and also to facilitate the Wolves becoming a ‘feeder’ club for the Sky Blues.
The agreement will cement their long running relationship and provide an improved pathway into the professional game for elite players from the area.
While we're disappointed, we thank everyone that has contributed to the course of the bid.

Football South Coast have declared their support for the Wollongong Wolves standalone A-League expansion bid.

Wolves gearing up in their hunt to return to the national stage
The region has intensified its moves to return to the nation’s national football competition.
Following Football Federation Australia’s announcement in late June whereby it shortlisted the Wollongong Wolves as a prospective bidder for the two team expansion of the Hyundai A-League in 2019/20, the club has drawn together a group of key people to enhance the next phase of their submission.

The Wollongong Wolves have been officially confirmed as making the shortlist for the upcoming Hyundai A-League expansion. Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League is one BIG step closer for the Illawarra and South Coast.
Wolves have bounced back into the winner’s circle by defeating Sutherland Sharks 2-1 in cold, blustery and shivering conditions at JJ Kelly Park in Coniston.
The Illawarra Local Aboriginal Land Council, Wollongong Wolves Football Club and the Illawarra Stingrays Women’s Football Club are delighted to announce, Stage 1 – Clearing and Preparation of the Albert Butler Oval Redevelopment Project has successfully been completed.
Both teams had chances during the game, but neither team could achieve the winning outcome.
